I took the lessons I learned from seven years of English hagwon experience to make what I believe is the ideal English learning environment. I offer small classes (one to three students) customized to the student’s needs and goals.
I believe the most effective English class is one that students enjoy. Therefore, I will change the class however and whenever the student needs me to. We will find the balance between work and enjoyment that allows you to improve your conversation skills, enjoy English entertainment, get a promotion, or whatever your goals may be.

First, we’ll need to talk about what kind of class you want. I need to know your goals and biggest areas of improvement. Then, we’ll find a way to help you reach those goals in a way that will keep your interest. We will build your personalized curriculum together so you never feel like you’re wasting your time.

Do you prefer to study with a friend or family member? Group classes (maximum size: 3) have the same class types as 1:1 classes. In addition, we could also have group discussions, debates, a book club, or whatever else the group would like.
How it Works
The process is the same for 1:1 classes except our class content could be a little different. Once the group is set, we’ll make a group chat and decide exactly what to study. One of the group members will need to book the class for the group.

- 150 KRW per word for U.S. English to Korean in personal or business contexts / 50 KRW per character for Korean to U.S. English in personal or business contexts. The word/character count will be determined by MS Word.

If you have a speech or speaking test coming up, my recording service can help you study for it. You can also practice words and phrases you have trouble saying or request a book narration.
How it works
You send me a Word document of the text for which you’d like an audio recording. I can record the text all at once or one word/sentence at a time with a pause afterward so you can listen and repeat the text out loud. I’ll send you as many audio files as you need within two business days of receiving your text and payment.

- 50 KRW per word. The word count will be determined by MS Word. If you want both Proofreading AND Recording, the price is 60 KRW per word.
- Please note that I reserve the right to refuse to record any text for any reason. Extremely long projects could take longer than two business days but, if that is the case, I will let you know before I begin recording.
FAQ
- Level-based standard class. We will use lessons from ESL Library that include homework assignments.
- Conversation/discussion class. I’ll send you a video or article along with some discussion questions and vocabulary. We’ll discuss what I sent you in class. We can also use discussion and debate material from ESL Library.
- Test preparation. We can prepare for TOEFL, IELTS, TOEIC, OET, or any other English test you need to take.
- Job interviews. If you have an English job interview coming up, we can go over some of the questions they may ask and do mock interviews together.
- Pretty much anything else! Those are the most common class types, but if there’s something you want to study, feel free to ask.
- Decide what type of class you want and how many of them you want.
- Calculate the price. For example, if you want 17 1:1 classes, the price would be 765,000 KRW (17 classes x 45,000 KRW).
- After you calculate your price, transfer the fee to Kookmin Bank 172601-04-160079.
- Visit my booking website to book a class.
- Click “Book Now” at the top of the page.
- Select “1:1 Class” or “Group Class.”
- You will see a calendar where you can choose the days and times you want. Click the time, enter your information, check the boxes, and click “Confirm Booking.”
- I will receive an email to confirm your booking. If I have received your payment, you are finished! If not, I cannot confirm the booking until I receive payment. The time slot will remain open until payment is received.
- You may book as many classes as you have paid for. For example, if you bought 10 classes, you can book all 10 at once or just book one or two now and book the rest later.
- The schedule is open through the next three months.
- You may cancel a class up to 24 hours in advance. After that, the class cannot be canceled and is nonrefundable.
No! Many of my students meet online, usually through Skype or Zoom. These classes are cheaper than meeting in person.
The classes only expire if I shut down the business or die. If I have evidence that one of those things is about to happen, I will keep you informed.
