Our fifth monthly Duolingo contest is over!
Here are the winners:
1st place: Doyeon (30,000 KRW gift card to Paul Bassett)
For the second time, Doyeon is the winner!
Doyeon and I had some “Depressing” meetings in June. We had a class on the Great Depression and the following week we discussed the movie Cinderella Man. She also understood a reference on the show Suits thanks to our discussion of a popular comic book villain.
I’m not sure what they sell at Paul Bassett, but I’m sure it’s delicious.
2nd place: Jiye (10,000 KRW gift card to Gong Cha)
Jiye and I couldn’t meet as often in June because she had a speech contest. Fortunately, she came in fourth place and I’m proud of her, so all is forgiven. Our classes this month included the history of ice cream and the Statue of Liberty.
Now that the test is over, let’s hope she can relax with some bubble tea.

Well, you can! It has already started! If you participated before, you don’t need to join the class again. Just continue doing Duolingo lessons to gain as much XP as possible.

Then, you can start doing Duolingo lessons! Every time you complete a lesson, you’ll be awarded XP. Every week, I’ll send out the standings so you know how close you are to the top.
The person with the most XP gets a 30,000 KRW gift card to the cafe of their choice! Second place receives a 10,000 KRW gift card, also to the cafe of their choice.
